Mural Painting Beautifies Jalan Yos Sudarso

PPSU personnel from seven urban villages in Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta are making a mural on the wall on Jalan Yos Sudarso, Kebon Bawang Urban Village.

This mural makes the area more beautiful and lively

The mural's theme is Jakarta Towards a Global City.

Tanjung Priok Sub-district's Economic and Development Section Head, Frimelda Novarita said, the mural was made to beautify the area and prevent vandalism.

"We'll also participate in the sub-district level competition organized by the North Jakarta City administration," she expressed, Thursday (11/27).

She explained, this 21-meter-long and three-meter-wide mural describes a global city with a developed economy, growing innovation, and a comfortable and clean space to live in.

"This concept was directly initiated by the Sub-district Vice Head, Dwi Pandji Forkiantoro, who also personally made the sketches," she explained.

He expressed his gratitude to the village officials who deployed personnel to participate in decorating the mural.

He hoped that the mural could serve as education for residents, that North Jakarta is part of a global city with a central port for industry and economy to support Jakarta in becoming a prosperous global city.

"I also urge residents to continue actively preserving the beauty of the environment, avoid acts of vandalism or damage to public facilities. Let's make Jakarta successful towards becoming a global city," he added.

This action received appreciation from one of the residents from Kebon Bawang, Kamajaya (30).

"This mural makes the area more beautiful and lively. Residents also become more caring about maintaining the environment," he stated.
